[HR][/HR]Well, we got off to a shaky a start, losing our first two games by one point each. Beating a cross town rival the other night on the road sure made things feel a lot better, though. Finals week was tough, but I ended the grading period with a 4.0. I am looking forward to regrouping and getting back to work on the court. We have a huge match up with a 2012 UK commit in the Dunkin Donuts Shootout this weekend. I’m sure he can play, but so can we, and we will be ready.
I have never been one for stats, but my Dad and Mamaw could tell you every point I’ve ever scored, going back to my Upward Basketball days. They tell me I’m averaging about 16pts, 10rbs, 2 stls, 2 blks, and 2assts so far this year. I have to play one of the guard spots when we are pressed, so, that takes me away from the basket and really cuts into my rebounding. It’s a new position for me, but I can do better than that. Our team averages about 40 rebounds per game. We are pretty big and know how to use our size advantage. We’ve done a good job on the boards, just gotta play hard cut down on our turnovers. Our press is looking better, too.
On the recruiting trail, I have had a few more visitors since my last entry. Coach Painter from Purdue has come by again. Coach Tony Delk from New Mexico St. stopped in to catch a few games, and so have the coaches from Butler. Coach Weber from Illinois, who offered me a scholarship before the season started, surprised us with an unannounced visit. It was good to finally meet him.
My dad also got a call from my AAU coach the other day, said that Kansas had been following my progress and wants to get into the mix starting this summer. Coach Webster from Tennessee has checked in.
I am still keeping my options open. A lot can and will happen over the next three years.

Update: Lafayette lost to Alex Poythress and Clarksville 78-68. Jackson finished with 11 points.
