An odd phenomenon with the NBA Cats last night: all but 1 finished with a positive over/under, but only two scored in double digits. Rondo and the Celts faced Nazr Mohammed and the Bobcats, with Boston getting the win 99-94. Rondo got another double-double, shooting 7 of 11 (making his only 3-pt attempt) with 3 of 4 from the charity stripe for a total of 18 points. He also had 13 assists, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block. Mohammed was back in action, shooting 2 of 5 from the field and 2 of 4 from the line for 6 points total. He finished his 15:22 of play with 3 rebounds, a steal and a block.
Chicago (Keith Bogans) defeated Indiana 99-86, although Bogans was the lowest scorer who played finishing with 1 point. He missed his only attempted field goal, made 1 of 2 free throws, got 2 assists and a rebound. Oddly enough, that gave him a +4 over/under, but he played less than 14 minutes – still not much time for a starter.
Tayshaun Prince and the Pistons won 101-95 over Toronto. Prince scored 9 points total, shooting 4 of 12, making his only 3-pt attempt and missing his only foul-shot attempt. His stat line finished with 6 rebounds, 2 blocks and an assist (+1 over/under).
Houston (Chuck Hayes, Patrick Patterson) lost to New Orleans 110-105. Chuck Hayes saw over 40 minutes of play, shooting 3 of 6 from the field and 3 of 5 from the line for 9 points overall. He also added 7 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal for a +12 over/under. Patrick Patterson did not fare as well. Patterson shot only 1 of 6 in his 7:55 of play for 2 points total. He did get 3 rebounds and a steal, but was the only NBA Cat to finish with a negative over/under (-11).
Eric Bledsoe’s Clippers fell to Golden State 122-112. Bledsoe scored 6 points off the bench, shooting 2 of 4 from the field and making both of his free throws. He added 5 assists, a rebound and a steal in his 19 minutes of play.
Jodie Meeks and Philadelphia overcame Milwaukee 95-94, with Meeks only supplying 3 of those points. He attempted 8 shots (4 from behind the arc) and made only one (a 3-pointer). Meeks added an assist to achieve a +6 over/under in 17:20 of play.
Finally, DeMarcus Cousins and the Kings beat the Knicks 93-83. Cousins got another double-double, shooting 7 of 20 with 2 of 3 free-throws totaling 16 points on the night. He also nabbed 10 rebounds, 3 blocks and a steal in his 23+ minutes – finishing with an over/under of +8.
