Rajon Rondo was the only former Cat in NBA action last night as the Celtics take a 2-0 lead on New York, winning last night’s game 96-93. Rondo earned Player of the Game accolades for his 30-point outing on 13 of 23 shooting (4 of 7 from the line). He also dished out 7 assists, pulled down 4 rebounds and snagged 2 steals in over 42 minutes of play.
Rondo’s 30 points were a career high for playoff games. He scored 14 of those in the first quarter alone, and 14 of the team’s first 18 points.
