NBA for the Day

Only two Cats played NBA games last night, both rookies.

Eric Bledsoe’s Clippers faced off against the Golden State Warriors and came away with a 105-91 win. Bledsoe didn’t have a stellar game as he hit only 1 of 6 from the field in his 17:28 of play – missing both of his 3-point attempts. He also posted 2 steals, 2 assists and a rebound – and surprisingly a +6 over/under. But alas, only 2 points for the night.

DeMarcus Cousins’ Kings lost to Toronto 118-112 without fellow Calipari alum Tyreke Evans, who is out with an injury. Cousins himself achieved another double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. He shot 8 of 14 with 2 of 3 from the charity stripe. The rest of his stat line included 2 assists, 2 blocked shots and 1 steal. Cousins fouled out after 28 minutes of play, ending up with a -7 over/under.

The only other game including a Cat last night was Miami’s overtime win over Portland (107-100), but Miami’s Jamaal Magloire didn’t see the floor in that one. For tonight’s games, look for Rajon Rondo’s Celtics to face off against Chuck Hayes and Patrick Patterson’s Rockets. Also, Keith Bogans and the Bulls will be playing Tayshaun Prince and the Pistons tonight. Charlotte (Nazr Mohammed) will be facing Memphis, but I don’t know if the former cat will see any playing time.
