There were several former Kentucky players involved in NBA Summer League action this past weekend and here is an update.
On Saturday, Terrence Jones had 16 points on 7-10 shooting as the Rockets lost to the Wizards 76-70. Jones was 1-2 from the three and 1-2 from the free throw line. He also had 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
Sunday’s action saw Daniel Orton score 2 points in 12 minutes as the Raptors lost 71-59. Orton was 2-2 from the free throw line and didn’t receive a technical foul. He also grabbed 3 rebounds in the losing effort.
The Charlotte Bobcats won their second game of the week, without the services of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 68-64. MKG had a sore knee and didn’t play for precautionary reasons.
Darius Miller made his Hornets debut last night in a 85-82 loss to Portland. Miller started and scored 3 points on 1-5 shooting from the field in 17 minutes. He also was 1-5 from the three and 1-2 from the free throw line. Darius also had 3 steals and 1 rebound in the losing effort.
