The NBA Summer League is turning out to be just what Kentucky fans needed to make it through the summer. On Saturday, Patrick Patterson took the floor for the second NBA game of his career. On Friday, Patterson had an outstanding game as he went 8-9 and hit two three pointers. On Saturday, things didn’t go so smooth. As he finished with 6 points and 8 rebounds.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]The announcers actually said that Patterson started the game “thinking he was Stephon Curry”. Patterson started the game with a quick three pointer that was one of the three shot attempts he missed to start the game. It seemed he was hoping that Friday’s shooting would continue on Saturday.
After having a cold start, the Rockets pulled Patterson from the game. This was probably the best thing for him as it gave him some time to settle down. When he returned late in the second quarter, he definitely looked more relaxed. He didn’t take over the game, but he definitely gave quality minutes that helped Houston come away with the win.
Here’s the video recaps of both of Patterson’s games….
