With John Calipari’s success in sending players to the NBA, this is a popular subject during this ‘dead’ period we find ourselves in. We all know Kentucky has been successful for the past few years, and even the past decade.
But what about Louisville? Can you think of any Louisville draft picks?
Well, don’t worry. Because there aren’t many. In fact, CBS’ Matt Norlander studied the trends and patterns of the draft from a college and conference standpoint.
In this study, it shows that [I][B]Nevada[/B][/I]–yes, the school out West that never gets any TV time–has had more NBA draft picks over the past decade than the Louisville Cardinals.
Kansas and UCLA lead the way since 2002 with 15 draft picks, and Kentucky, Texas, and Duke are at 14.
Something tells me UK may be leading this category in the next couple of years…
