The description used when Michael Gilchrist’s mother asked him to compare his UK Class of 2011 to the Class of 2009, one that included the likes of John Wall, DeMarcus ‘Boogie’ Cousins, Eric Bledsoe and Daniel Orton.

Swag may be the best answer Gilchrist could have used. Admittedly, this class is stacked, Teague, Gilchrist, Davis and Wiltjer, all Top 25 with three in the Top 10, but this isn’t Wall, Cousins and the Class of 2009, at least not yet.
Making a name for yourself and your class comes on the court, under the lights, at places like The Hump, Thompson-Boling Arena, the O’Connell Center, Rupp Arena, the SEC Tournament and eventually the NCCA Tournament.
With four recruits committed and the possibility of one or two more to join the No. 1 Class in the country, the Cats will once again be young and loaded for Bear with talent. The frenzy known as Kentucky Basketball continues to rise under the skills of Coach Calipari.
