According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Kevin Ware has officially committed to coach Donnie Jones and the Central Florida Golden Knights.
Discreet rumors circulated Sunday night that Ware had indeed committed to UCF, but the 2011 shooting guard denied such talk to me yesterday.
However, after an in-home visit with Jones today, it looks like Ware’s initial feelings after a visit to campus Sunday were confirmed.
Ware joins a stellar recruiting class for the Knights, and it looks like there may be a new team contending for the top spot in Conference-USA.
Louisville and Georgia were the other two teams vying for Ware’s services.
Louisville also lost Michael Chandler to UCF, and the football program let quarterback DaMarcus Smith slip away as well; this makes the third recruit the Cards’ have failed to close the door on.
I have a feeling UCF isn’t done stealing recruits quiet yet.
Either way, that’s strike-three for Louisville.
