It was yet another miserable day for the Orlando Magic and a former Wildcat, yet a great day for another former Wildcat. Today the Magic faced Oklahoma City Thunder and despite another good performance by Joe Crawford, could not finish the deal. The Thunder won 80-78. Daniel Orton was a non-factor for the fourth game of his career with the Magic.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
It wasn’t all bad for Orton though. Although he was a non-factor, it was his best outing yet. He scored 4 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and 1 blocked shot with only 2 personal fouls. I know, it’s not much but still his best performance to date.
Joe Crawford on the other hand had another good day. It wasn’t another 29 point performance like his last game, but he was the second highest scorer for the Magic with 17 points during 24 minutes of play. The Magic have to be impressed with that they are seeing from Joe, averaging a team high 18.6ppg during the Summer League. Crawford has definitely put himself in a good position to be offered a spot on the roster. He’ll need another good performance tomorrow versus the Bobcats. Hopefully he’ll be on the court.
