Liggins and Harrellson Lead Cats to 81-62 Win Over Hoosiers

I think they just called another foul… The Cats battled foul trouble to hold off the Indiana Hoosiers in a game that was a lot closer than the final score of 81-62. A game that lasted over 2 hours with 47 fouls called, it was DeAndre Liggins’ defense and Josh Harrellson’s offense was the story as they both played steady the entire game to set the tone for the Cats to pull away in the last 7 minutes as the Cats finished on a 25-5 run.

Harrellson offset the foul plagued game of Terrence Jones, who only had 10 points and 8 rebounds, mostly because he was sitting on the bench. Harrellson finished with a double double, scoring a season high 14 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

DeAndre had a career high 19 points, most of them coming in the second half. Brandon Knight was also clutch in the 2nd half as he scored 18 points and really became the general on the floor that Coach Cal has been wanting.

The Cats are now off for a week, when they next play the Sean Woods coached Mississippi Valley State. We will have alot more on today’s game and look for the postgame interviews as soon as someone posts them on youtube. Good win overall today!! Go Cats!!
