Liggins Named To The UK "Society Of Character"

The University of Kentucky announced today that Kentucky’s DeAndre Liggins was named to the UK Frank G. Ham Society of Character.

The University named 12 athletes to the Society. All 12 will be recognized this Saturday in a ceremony at UK’s Center for Academic and Tutorial Services.

The Society of Character recognizes Wildcat student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to academic excellence, athletic participation, personal development, career preparation and serving as a role model. The SOC was founded during the 1998-99 school year and is named in honor of Ham, a long-time UK administrator.

Here is what UK had to say about DeAndre:
”DeAndre is a junior guard on the basketball team. DeAndre is not the most vocal player on the team, but he leads by example with his work ethic and perseverance. That perseverance translates to the classroom, where he devotes tireless effort. DeAndre is also a role model in the community, where he generously volunteers his time with at-risk youth.”
Go Cats!!!
