When Dominic Artis committed to UCLA in the last week of July, I wondered how things would affect L.J. Rose.
Rose, who is considered the better point guard by most compared to Artis, could easily still be interested in the Bruins and commit there. However, it looks like Artis is pushing him away UCLA, just as Marcus Paige did at North Carolina.
According to Adam Zagoria, Rose now calls his home-state Longhorns his leader.
“Texas is my leader right now,” the 6-2 senior-to-be at Houston Westbury Christian said by phone from the Nike Global Challenge in Hillsboro, Ore.
The Rivals No. 14 point guard in the Class of 2012 also listed Georgetown, Arizona, Memphis, Kansas, Baylor and UVA, and said he planned to take officials to Texas, Georgetown and Arizona.
“I don’t know about my other two yet,” he said.
As expected, UK has ceased to be involved with Rose. It should be interesting to see how his recruitment finishes up, though.
