Kyle Wiltjer is 6A Player of the Year

Kyle Wiltjer was announced yesterday as the Oregon 6A Player of the Year.

Wiltjer spoke to OregonLive.com about winning the award but all Kyle wanted to talk about was his team.

“I had a lot of fun playing with my friends and teammates,” Wiltjer said. “We won three state championships. Some people don’t get to win one and we won three.”

For his part, Wiltjer this season averaged 19.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 54 percent from the field and 39 percent from three-point range.

Kyle also talked about being disappointed for Kentucky and his future teammates. He also talked about looking forward to playing with Terrence Jones.
