Earlier in the season it was Josh Harrellson. The UK Forward injected himself into fan discussions by putting out several career games. Points, rebounds, double-doubles; Harrellson was doing everything he could to help his team win games. And it worked early on.
Now it seems as if Darius Miller is interested in ending the year with a similar note. The Kentucky junior, who has been streaky at times, has now put together a couple of games that has fans talking.
“He told me I was going to have to step up for us to win, for us to be a good team,” Miller said. “I just tried to come out and play aggressive.”
Miller score 24 points and added 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in the Wildcats 76-68 defeat over Florida yesterday.
The win against Florida wasn’t just about another win at home or a career game for Darius Miller. The win was the teams 20th of the season and Coach Cal’s 500th overall. All of those were done against the best team in the SEC.
