The first of four expected signings for UK, has officially occurred as [URL=”http://rivals.yahoo.com/basketballrecruiting/basketball/recruiting/player-Marquis-Teague-77385;_ylt=AhK64yxcQvSJz1CYB_pY0g_VO5B4″]Marquis Teague[/URL] has apparently signed, sealed and delivered his Letter of Intent to the University of Kentucky.
Teague, brother of current NBA Guard [URL=”http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4624″]Jeff Teague[/URL], is the No 1 rated Point Guard of the Class of 2011 and is the No 2 Overall Player. The 5-star recruit from Indianapolis, Ind. Pike High School verbally committed to UK earlier this year.

Jerry Meyer at rivals.com says Teague is “A smooth ball handler with a feel for changing gears, Teague is the type of point guard who gets the ball to whatever spot on the court he desires. When he gets in the lane, he is explosive in traffic and is a proficient finisher with either hand. While he is a big time scoring threat, Teague is also a high level distributor.”
The signing of Teague gives John Calipari the No 1 point Guard for the third year in a row, following superstar John Wall and future superstar Brandon Knight, to the Commonwealth.
