In less that three hours, the CATs will be taking on the Auburn Tigers in the second conference game of the season. With three starters in averaging double figures, the Tigers are much improved and could give Kentucky problems at the three point line with Waller and Sullivan averaging 39% from behind the arch.
Some things to look for during the game….
Darius Miller – Will he show up? Will he be aggressive? If he doesn’t turn the ball over and hits the three pointer when he has open shots, he can create even more distance between himself and the other players fighting for his starting spot.
Patrick Patterson– The Patteson situation with Calipari is starting to remind me of the Kelenna Azubuike and Tubby Smith “looks like Tarzan plays like Jane” quote. Will Patterson play like Tarzann? It seems that both he and Calipari agree he needs to play at a level he’s not yet shown.
Darnell Dodson– Will he hit his threes? Will he turn the ball over? If he isn’t hitting, will Calipari pull him out?
DeAndre Liggins – He may have missed his chance by not showing up for the Georgia game. It will be interesting to see if he gets another opportunity today and what he will make of it.
