Kentucky No Longer an Option for Daniels

According to DeAndre Daniels’ AAU coach, he has removed Kentucky from his list and is now only considering Kansas, Duke and Texas. Of course, Kentucky withdrew their offer back on January 8th, but evidently Daniels’ didn’t officially recognize that until today.

Daniels is a 5-star SF out of IMG Academy ranked 9th in his class by Rivals and 35th by Scout. He originally committed to Texas, then de-committed but kept them on his list. It was then presumed he would go to Kansas because the Jayhawks offered a walk-on opportunity to his AAU teammate Christian Garrett. Now it seems that [STRIKE]Dook[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Puke[/STRIKE] Duke has offered Daniels, and if a visit hasn’t already happened then it’s being set up now.

So to recap: 5-star SF DeAndre Daniels who was once committed to Texas, then considered a ‘done deal, 100%’ to Kansas, is now probably going to play for Duke. Or not. We’ll see. Could be somebody completely different. Did I mention he’s in the class of 2011?
