Kentucky Makes History With Five Players Drafted In First Round

Kentucky made history on Monday night as five Wildcats were drafted in the first round. If you happened to miss all the action, don’t worry, every UK pick is in the video below. Here’s the rundown….

1. John Wall – Washington Wizards
5. Demarcus Cousins – Sacramento Kings
14. Patrick Patterson – Houston Rockets
18. Eric Bledsoe – Oklahoma Thunder—> The traded to the Los Angeles Clippers
29. Daniel Orton – Orlando Magic

[*]Wall is the number one pick and he’ll need to make friends with Gilbert Arenas.
[*]Cousins is with Tyreke Evans at Sacramento and even made the comment that “he’s in the Cal family” when referring to Evans.
[*]If you were to ask, Who’s the classiest Wildcat of all time? Patrick Patterson and Chuck Hayes would definitely be in the discussion and now they’re on the same team
[*]Eric Bledsoe is now with the Clippers… OUCH! I’ll explain it like this, the Los Angles Clippers are to the Lakers, what UofL is to UK. Actually, you could argue UofL is better than the Clippers… Nah!
[*]Daniel Orton was drafted in the first round after it was rumored he could have fallen to the second round. He’s probably in the best situation of everyone as he will be playing with Dwight Howard and has a very good chance of playing in the NBA playoffs and maybe the finals next year. (ok, finals might be stretching it).
