In a tale of two halves, Kentucky won the half that mattered. The Cats came out of the blocks sluggish, at best. Offense was flat and the defense was playing flag football.
The end result was a UK blowout, 38-20, and truly the score didn’t reflect the sheer domination over Vandy in the second half.
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]Contribute that domination, in part, a big part, to Randall Cobb. Here are a couple of tweets from Jeff Drummond from Jokers post game press conference.
”Joker just got done trying to explain what “it” is that Randall Cobb has. He told us in the media “You don’t have it…And I don’t have it.”
”Joker indicated what most of us suspected, that Cobb put this team on his back today, especially with the long TD run changing momentum.”
Cobb ended the day with a stat line, that when put together, looks like the national deficit.
Randall had 10 rushes for 170 yards including the game changing 73 yarder in the opening drive of the 3rd quarter. A TD that would put Kentucky in front to stay.
Add on to Cobb’s rushing total, 3 receptions for 56 yards, 5 punt returns for 19 yards and 1 kickoff return for 34 yards, and you have just another day in the office for Randall Cobb.
A day that ended with 279 all purpose yards. Oh, and throw in 1 completed pass for 7 yards. String them all together and you get the national debt comparison.
Cobb – 10,173,356,519,134. National Debt – 13,000,000,000,000…
End of the day, Randall Cobb earned his “Mr. Everything” status once again. I know the Cats are 6-5, and they won’t be in a major bowl and some guy down in The Plains is blowing up the stats, but for Randall Cobb to not be seriously considered for the Heisman is a mistake.
Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen.
Here’s Randall in his 73 yard run, out of the formation named specifically for him, the Wildcobb…
