Kentucky High School Football started last night and several UK recruits had big nights under the lights. One of those is Anthony “Ace” Wales. Here is an excerpt from Jody Demling:
The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Wales – who is just a junior – ran 19 times for 339 yards and four touchdowns in a 47-32 loss to Seneca.
Wales, considered one of the top juniors in the Louisville-area, is likely to emerge as one of the premier college prospects statewide in the Class of 2012 during the season.

”I am not really a too much of a run-over somebody type of running back,” Wales said. “I like Adrian Peterson and Reggie Bush and those type of running backs. I like making cuts and moves and using my speed. It’s just things I do. It’s what I look for.”
Wales, a point guard in basketball, said he “really hopes” the 339-yard output in the opener will help land him his first scholarship offer. Wales said Louisville and Kentucky are showing the most interest right now in the recruiting process.
Joker and Charlie are battling over alot more than just winning a football game Sept. 4th. They are battling over the same players in-state and these kids could end up being the difference in who’s tenure could last the longest. Wales looks like a promising back, and it will be interesting to see which team’s backfield he runs out of after his senior season.
