[B]Kentucky fans can now vote for John Wall to win an ESPN ESPY award.[/B] He is in the running for two: Breakthrough Athlete of the Year and Best Male College Athlete.
Voting is held online at [URL=”http://www.espn.com/espys”]www.espn.com/espys[/URL] and the Awards will be held July 14.
In the category of “Breakthrough Athlete of the Year,” Wall, the 2010 Adolph Rupp National Player of the Year, will be going against Brittney Griner (Baylor women’s basketball), Chris Johnson (NFL’s Tennessee Titans) and Stephen Strasburg (MLB’s Washington Nationals).
In the category of “Best Male College Athlete,” Wall is going against Blake Geoffrion (Wisconsin hockey), Mark Ingram (Alabama football), Evan Turner (Ohio State basketball) and Garrett Wittels (Florida International Baseball).
The 2010 ESPYs will be televised live on ESPN beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
