Kentucky Football fans should be concerned as I have heard from a source close to the situation that Kentucky commit Josh Forrest is planning on taking the trip with a host of other players from the state to visit Central Florida on Jan.21. Forrest is a 2 star wide receiver from Paducah Tilghman. Forrest is the #16 rated prospect in the state by Scout.com.
It was also reported today that Jerrell Moore, a former Louisville commit and Fern Creek HS athlete, has opened up his recruiting. Moore said that Charlie Strong pulled his scholarship but he was thinking about looking elsewhere anyway. He is said to be considering Kentucky, Illinois, and Central Florida.
I have heard from a source Moore is going to take a visit to Illinois on Jan. 21.
Is it just me or is Central Florida trying to steal a lot of top recruits from the state of Kentucky? On one recruiting trip alone Boyle County’s Lamar Dawson, Seneca’s Michael Fluellen, Ballard’s DeVante Parker, and now Tilghman’s Josh Forrest are planning a trip to Disney World at the end of the month to look at the Conference USA program. As a Kentucky fan I wish we were battling Florida, LSU, and Tennessee for recruits. The loss in Birmingham sure hasn’t helped matters any and I wouldn’t be surprised if some other recruits who are already committed or are looking at Kentucky begin to keep their options open.
