After a disappointing series at lowly Georgia to finish the regular season, it is no surprise that the Kentucky baseball team has been left out of the NCAA Tournament field.
The Wildcats finished the season at 31-25 and 13-17 in the Southeastern Conference. The team held a strong tournament resume, with 16 wins coming over teams with top 50 RPI’s. UK finished the regular season with a No. 20 RPI.
The deciding factor was almost certainly losing the final series to Georgia, who finished 5-23 in the conference.
