After the Florida Rams Black squad won their game against Boo Williams Defenders, I got the chance to talk to Kasey about his recruitment. Currently he is listing Texas, Florida, Kentucky, Baylor and Florida State.
Texas puts point guards about as well as Kentucky does, so both of those schools make sense. Florida and Florida State are the two most competitive schools in the state, so it’s easy to see why he’s drawn to them. Baylor might be on it’s way to becoming an elite program if Coach Drew can keep up the way he’s been recruiting. When I asked Kasey who he has connected with the most he replied, “Billy Donovan for sure, I know know him and like him. He’s a really good coach.”
So it looks like UK and Cal have some ground to make up for one of the best point guards in the country, and the Gators want him bad. They had two assistants watching , while Kentucky had zero. Not a good start for the Big Blue Nation.
