The drama of Enes Kanter’s eligibility continues as the NCAA announced today that Enes must cease practicing with the Kentucky basketball team until the ruling on his eligibility status is resolved. Please!!! “Free Enes”…

When a players elgibility status is in question, the player can practice for no more then a 45 day period with the team. Kanter’s initial 45 day period started in early August when the team began preparing for the trip to Canada.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]

The NCAA granted Kanter a waiver to continue practicing. That waiver expired Thursday, September 30
“Starting today, the student-athlete is prohibited from practicing to include the upcoming Midnight Madness practice,” NCAA spokesman Chuck Wynne wrote Friday in an e-mail.

Kentucky could ask for another waiver so Kanter can resume practice.

Once again, Coach Calipari and the Kentucky Basketball program is in a holding pattern with no end in site. The Bledsoe situation resolved, Kanter’s eligibility has become the main focus of Cat fans as we have rallied around the “Free Enes” movement.

Stories, comments and opinions have floated around the media for months on Kanter’s eligibility, from the team he played for in Turkey stating they paid him over $100,000 during his playing time to other media members stating they believed he would be cleared and eligible to play no later then December.

Well Big Blue Nation, patience is a virtue, one that we’re becoming all too familiar with over the last few months.

Raise your hand if you’re sick of the NCAA yet? Guess we got to get used to it. That’s what comes with being a fan of the Greatest College Basketball Program on Earth…
