You may remember Jules Camara, he played basketball for UK from 1998-2003 (except for the 2000-2001 season, which he sat out due to alcohol related issues). He is being held at the Boone County jail, and evidently immigration and customs enforcement officials have placed him on “detainer” (Camara is originally from Africa, and I presume he remains an African citizen).
I didn’t know what a “detainer” was, so I looked it up.

Evidently anyone who has a detainer placed on them is deportable. However, Camara does have the right to go before an immigration judge. Bad news for this former Cat.
