The Kentucky Football program is switching to twitter silent as of today.
One of the topics today at Kentucky Football Media Day was the ban Joker Phillips has put on tweeting.
“[COLOR=#333333][FONT=Verdana]We’ve got better things to do. We’ve got a lot of work to do. We don’t have time,” Phillips told the media today.

The upperclassmen hadn’t been told about the twitter ban yet, but they found out quick enough during player interviews.
Phillips continued, “We’ll say the same thing to our varsity guys.We don’t have time for it, first of all. If you see our schedule, we’re up at 7:00, we’re in bed at 11 and there is no time to relax, no time to Twitter. When do they do it? From the walk from the Nutter Center to the Commons Dining Hall. That’s the only time they have, and I want that time spent visiting with their teammates. I want that time spent visiting with their teammates.”

Looking at the 2012 schedule, they better be concentrating a lot on football, because they might not want to read their tweets from fans if the season isn’t going so well.
