On a day cram packed with breaking Wildcat news, another story has finally come to a conclusion.
Joker Phillips has answered the Number 1 media and fan question in Kentucky Football, who will lead the team at the QB position against Louisville.
It’s the Senior Mike Hartline who will call the plays on September 4th. Probably not a major surprise to anyone. Hartline seemed to have the position to lose from the very start.

Spring practice saw Hartline separate himself but Newton and Mossokowski had closed enough ground to cause Joker to take the race into the Fall. Coach Phillips had said that he was willing to wait until the week before Louisville to name a starter, if needed, which he did.
Joker also stated that the race for the back up is still up for grabs between Morgan Newton and Ryan Mossokowski.
This may not be the most popular decision in the Bluegrass State, but Phillips did what he needed to do, name a starter. This allows the team to get focused on Louisville and the Offense to get in the reps with the leader, at least for now…
More to come as the story develops…
Go Cats!!
