John Wall: NBA Top 50?

He’s yet to officially dawn the court in an actual Washington Wizards Jersey. His NBA stats line looks like my bank account; 0 points, 0 assist, 0 rebounds, 0 steals, 0 turnovers, you get the point. Yet his talent precedes him, even in the League with the most basketball talent in the world, the NBA.

Some are calling him the savior of Wizards basketball, the King of D.C. But at SLAMOnline.com, they’re calling him Number 47.

SLAMOnline.com is currently in the process of announcing their Top 50 Players from the 2010-11 NBA season, and before he even makes his first assist, John Wall has been ranked as the 47th Best Player.

Here is an excerpt from the article:
Here at SLAMonline we believe John Wall not only belongs in the Top 50, but also could end up being much higher on the list by season’s end. The SLAMily thinks Wall will join (and possibly even surpass) the upper echelon of young point guards in the League. Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo, Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook, Tyreke Evans and Brandon Jennings.

Wall is going to invigorate basketball in Washington DC and keep the Verizon Center buzzin’ all season long. Yes, Wall is the one much more likely to create a worldwide dance party or to simply do the Dougie.
Year one, 47th, year two and beyond… Let’s just say his ranking will improve as this young talent learns the NBA and those around him.

Go Cats!!!
