John Pelphrey Considered for Miami Job

Last month, Arkansas canned head coach John Pelphrey after failing to meet requirements during the last few years of his tenure with the Hogs.

However, he could be back into the fold of things very soon.

According to the Miami Herald, Pelphrey is one of the coaches that the Miami Hurricanes are considering to replace Frank Haith, who departed for Missouri last week.
Names that have emerged are University of Alabama-Birmingham’s Mike Davis, Murray State’s Billy Kennedy, Harvard’s Tommy Amaker, Richmond’s Chris Mooney, and Jeff Capel and John Pelphrey, both of whom were recently fired, Capel by Oklahoma and Pelphrey by Arkansas. The ‘Canes are hopeful to have a new coach in place by Monday.

Pelphrey really had an unfortunate fire with Arkansas, but he has the ability to come back; this could easily be one of the jobs for him.

Big Blue Nation wishes him the best of luck from here on out!
