Kentucky’s Joe Crawford has been signed by the Beijing Ducks of the CBA (Chinese Basketball Association). Joe who played at Kentucky during the 04-05 season through the 07-08 season averaged 11.3 points, 3.35 boards and 43.8% from the field and was a key member of the 06-07 and 07-08 teams.

Crawford was selected 58th overall in the NBA Draft, by the Los Angeles Lakers and spent one season in the NBA with the New York Knicks.

“Beijing have strengthened their backcourt. They brought in Joe Crawford. Crawford spent the preseason with the Sacramento Kings but never signed a deal. He then moved to Italy in order to sign with Banca Tercas Teramo.
However the guard failed again, unable to pass medical tests. Finally he reached an agreement with Beijing.
Last season Crawford Joe also traveled a lot. He tipped off the season in the Los Angeles D-Fenders in D-League. The guard averaged 17.8 point, 3.1 boards, 3.1 assists per appearance.
Later he moved to China to ink with Nangang Dragons Nanjing. In CBA his stats read 20.7 points, 5.7 boards and 2.3 assists.”
Joe will play with another former Kentucky Wildcat, Randolph Morris. Morris has been on a terror in the CBA, averaging 29.7 points and 12.3 rebounds. The Ducks are 8-5 and in 6th place in the CBA.
