Jodie Meeks is a Late-Season Fantasy Steal

Seth Landman of ESPN.com thinks former Kentucky star Jodie Meeks is a great pickup in fantasy basketball as teams are solidified for the stretch run.

Here is an excerpt:

Jodie Meeks, SG, Philadelphia 76ers: With the 76ers really rounding into form during the past few weeks (they’re currently in the top 10 in John Hollinger’s Power Rankings), it would seem that Meeks’ spot in the starting lineup is entirely safe for the moment. Meeks will always be fantasy-worthy when he’s getting minutes because he’s a phenomenal 3-point shooter, which is something for which the Sixers have been desperate for a few seasons now. Of late, though, Meeks is showing potential in other areas as well. Most significantly, he’s been averaging better than one steal per game for the past month or so and is up to 1.6 per game in his past five games. While he doesn’t get to the line all that often, he’s fantastic when he’s there, knocking down 90 percent of his free throws for the season. Add it all up, and if Meeks can hover around 1.5 steals per game the rest of the way, he’ll be a great pickup in all leagues.
