We all remember the “Big Blue Address”, where Calipari gave his speech about returning Kentucky to the dominance that it once had in college basketball.
One example of dominance was in the area of recruiting. Cal said if Kentucky wanted a player, everyone else would leave the gym, because they knew they were just wasting their time.
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]So do you think we’ve made it back?
If two straigh number one recruiting classes isn’t enough (and a third on the way), the head coach for UCONN, Jim Calhoun, seems to think UK has more than enough talent.
Kentucky.com reports the following comments from the Maui press conference..

Perhaps somewhat tongue in cheek, Connecticut Coach Jim Calhoun tabbed Michigan State, a team blessed with Final Four experience, as an overwhelming favorite.
“Obviously, Michigan State should win going away,” Calhoun said as a smiling (and wincing) Spartans Coach Tom Izzo sat nearby. “Tommy has one of the best teams I’ve seen in 20 or 30 years.”
Calhoun did not mention experience — nor a favorite’s role — in a needling salute to Kentucky.
“John (Calipari) has got more talent than the Celtics,” the UConn coach said. “The rest of us scrap for the pieces.”
So there you have it… “The rest of us scap for the pieces”! You got to love that!
And just in case you suffered a horrific accident and lost your memory of the last ten years, here’s it is again. It’s the least I can do. However, when it comes to remembering your kids names, your on your own.
