Jerry Tipton released an article yesterday that stated UK should have known about the Bledsoe recruiting concerns. This is coming from a private investigator….. Was this a private investigator Tipton hired or just someone’s opinion and they just happen to be a private investigator?
Here’s an excerpt from the article…
Michael L. Buckner, an investigator and attorney based in Pompano Beach, Fla., said recent media reports made him believe questions about Bledsoe’s eligibility were known during the recruiting process.
“Coaches at other schools know there is,” he said. “Then I would assume Kentucky knew or should have known.”
Coach John Calipari’s experience at Memphis, specifically the NCAA ruling he played an ineligible player, Derrick Rose, in the 2007-08 season, should have put UK on heightened alert, Buckner said. The NCAA ordered Memphis to vacate a record 38 victories and a 2008 Final Four appearance.
Here’s the two things I got from the article….

The entire purpose of the article is to make it sound like UK’s recruiting process ignored the risk around Bledsoe.

The Private Investigator says UK “should have known”. What if a landscaper said the same thing? The Private Investigator didn’t offer up any new information. I guess it means more when a Private Investigator says things?
I do have a lot of respect for Mr. Tipton and I’m definitely not a professional journalist, but I’m not seeing any new information in this article. If I were to write the “Cliff Notes”, it would read like this….
It’s a Private Investigator’s opinion that UK should have known about Bledsoe concerns.
Now let’s try it another way…
It’s a Janitor’s opinion that UK should have known about Bledsoe concerns.
It’s a Teacher’s opinion that UK should have known about Bledsoe concerns.
It’s a Astronaut’s opinion that UK should have known about Bledsoe concerns.
It’s a Fireman’s opinion that UK should have known about Bledsoe concerns.
It’s a Nurse’s opinion that UK should have known about Bledsoe concerns.
I think you get the idea…..
