This time last year, Lane Kiffin was the new football coach at the University of Tennessee. Today, he’s coaching USC and their fans may be his only friends in the world. SportsIllustrated.com wrote an article that outlined how Kiffin is just not ready to be head coach. Then they try to compare his acts of selfishness to Lebron James and [B]John Calipari.[/B]

I had to read this article a few times to really understand what they were getting at. It may have been the blue haze that clouds my brain, but do is it possible that everyone in America hates our basketball coach? Is it true that outside of UK Fans, Calipari is the most hated coach in all of America? Well, I think it’s very possible and probably true. However, I think the Kiffen comparison to Calipari is somewhat of a stretch.
Yes Calipari is probably hated all across the country, but Kiffin is hated for the number of selfish acts he exhibits on a daily basis. Calipari is far to smooth to make the PR missteps that Kiffen has.
Calipari is hated for being the best. Not only is he the best fit for Kentucky, he’s also the recruiting master. He’s so good at recruiting, other college coaches see it us an unfair advantage.
