DeMarcus Cousins does not get enough credit for what he does for this team. He is the most consistent player on the Kentucky team. You know you are getting a double double every game. You know he will not back down from anything. Cal said that Cousins is the best center he has ever coached, including the NBA. If I had to pick one player that I could not win without, it is Boogie, my Player of the Year.

John Wall battled back with 17 points and 7 assists and 4 turnovers. We are watching a future NBA superstar grow up right before our eyes. Growing pains are going to be there, and I think we witnessed just another step of maturity on the road to stardom.

Eric Bledsoe does what Eric Bledsoe does. He shoots(4-10). He also passes(8 assists). He also likes to get into situations where he doesn’t know what to do with the basketball. (7 turnovers). You have to take the good with the bad with the talent that Bledsoe has. A future lottery pick with a freshman mind. He is going to be so dangerous.

The X factor for the Cats was Darnell Dodson. Dodson is definately the 5th starter and has earned the spot with 4-5 shooting from the behind the arc while scoring 14 points in 16 minutes.

The Cats shot 60% from the field, 47% from the three, and 73.7% from the free throw line. If we do that every game, then we will win every game.

Cats outrebounded the Rebels 38-33. We did give up 15 offensive rebounds to only getting 14.
All in all this was a very good win by the Cats. Hell, they are all good. It was a nice, solid home win. I am looking forward to going on the road to Mississippi St. and Vanderbilt. We will learn a whole lot about our team revisiting a hostile atmosphere then beating people in Rupp.
This season is fun, and Alabama will find out how much fun Rupp is right now. Go Cats!
