This game was over as soon as the 1st TV Timeout was over. They started slow, but woke up, and blew LSU out. Lets look at the boxscore:

[*]DeMarcus Cousins had a dominant 19 points and 13 rebounds as he was just playing around with the Tigers. Barry Booker described him as “Shaq-like” but I think Cousins is alot better offensive player than Shaq was his freshman year at LSU. He could go 1 or 2, doesn’t matter, he is an absolute monster.
[*]Patrick Patterson had his best all around game in a while as he had 16 points and 5 rebounds. He looked a lot more assertive and wasn’t shy about shooting the basketball. I was really surprised when he pulled from about 21′ at the top of the key. He almost banked it in, but good things happen when he shot the basketball today. Daniel Orton got the put back off the miss.
[*]Daniel Orton had 5 pts and 5 rebounds as he keeps improving every game. Ortonn will take over the Cousins role next year as he is learning more and more every game.
[*]DeAndre Liggins had 7 points and 8 rebounds as know one can say enough how much it means to have that much energy coming off the bench. Who would have ever thought, besides Coach Cal, that Liggins would turn his career around after last year’s BCG fiasco.
[*]Jon Hood got into the game late and hit a 3. I wonder if he will ever get a shot at Kentucky. The way Cal reloads with talent, Jon better perform every second he is in the game.

A predictable outcome was the eventual outcome as the Cats were dominant when they needed to be. We needed a blowout, and we got it. Now we have Alabama and should cruise in hopefully the same fashion. Go Cats!
