[*]The Defense was amazing for the Cats. Arkansas had no time to get shots off. I believe the announcer said it felt like 7 guys were on defense instead of 5. The Razorbacks shot 30% from the field and really looked bad.
[*]Darius leading the team in scoring with 18. I love it. If Darius plays like this consistently, we could go undefeated. (Yes I am being serious!)
[*]All the scoring was balanced and if this continues it could be a long year for everyone on the Cats schedule.
[*]One thing that it looks like we still need to improve on is foul shooting for an entire game. We shot 92# in the first half, but then drop to 4-11 to end up shooting 68% from the line. I would love to see the percentage above 70% more consistently.
[*]Darnell Dodson looks like the one right now that is losing the most playing time. He took a really bad shot in the corner and I question how many more chances will Coach Cal give him?
[*]Daniel Orton keeps developing right before our eyes. He is already a defensive monster, but you can see the offense is coming along. He had 6 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 big blocks. Orton is a young Patterson in the making.
[*]Patrick was in his usual “Lottery Role Player” mode yesterday. He had 9 pts and 7 rebounds. He shot 2-9 from the field. I know Pat is good, and I love him, I just wonder if he really needs to do anymore than what he is doing.
[*]DeMarcus Cousins is an absolute Monster. He owns the paint and his energy is just unreal. This kid can play the game, and I would not be surprised if he isn’t #2 in the draft next year.
There were so many positives for this game it was hard to list it all. If the Cats keep the defensive pressure up and high intensity than I don’t see too many problems with USC, who just lost to Florida. The next game I see that will be a war will be @ Vanderbilt and @ Mississippi St. Go Cats!
