Anthony Davis was looking forward to learning from Hornet’s big man Emeka Okafor.
Well, he would have to drop to the #3 pick to do that.
The New Orleans Hornets have traded Okafor and Trevor Ariza to the Washington Wizards for Rashard Lewis and the 46th pick in the draft.
This undoubtedly is a salary cap dump to open up space for more young talent.
This also puts the spotlight on Anthony Davis.
Davis told Andy Katz he was looking forward to learning from veteran.

The Hornets also have the #10 pick and have opened up the possibility for another big salary to help build the franchise around Davis.
I guess there at least won’t be any pressure on Davis to win as he figures out the league, but he better learn to deal with a lot of losses during his year of growing pains.
