Hartline To Attend The BBVA Compass Bowl Under Special Assignment

The season ending tale of Mike Hartline has been well documented. Arrested, released then suspended by Joker Phillips for his final game of his Senior year, the BBVA Compass Bowl.

That hasn’t stopped Joker from using Mike’s experience and skills to try and benefit the team.

Coach Phillips apparently has Mike on a special role as a “Student Coach” to the young QB’s and will allow Mike to attend the BBVA Compass Bowl.

Earlier, Cara Capuano of ESPN tweeted the following:

Great to see Coach Phillips using Mike in some fashion to potentially benefit the team. Personally, I hate to see him miss his final game but I respect and agree with Jokers decision.

Hartline is coming off his best season as a starter for Kentucky, completing 66% of his attempts for 3,178 yards and 23 TD’s to only 9 interceptions.

Hopefully he can use what he’s learned to help lead the Cats to a victory, this time from the sidelines.

Go Cats!!!
