Football Cats Going For Four! Music City Preview

First off…MERRY CHRISTMAS!

On December 27th at 8:30PM (under the lights) the Cats will be taking on the Clemson Tigers as they go for their fourth consecutive bowl win. In a season that was flooded with injuries and playing the second half of the season with a third string quarterback, the Cats were able to persevere and make it back to Nashville. Most fans were hoping for a warm weather bowl (Tampa would have been nice), but Nashville is where the SEC Coach of the year will go to make school history yet again. This will be the first time in school history that we have seen post season action in four consecutive years.

Clemson won eight games this season and won the Atlantic division of the ACC. Kentucky’s defense had it’s moments when trying stop the running game and Clemson’s C.J. Spiller will be one of their greatest challenges all season. It’s been reported that the Spiller and Micah Johnson match-up is the third best match-up in all of the early bowl games. Kentucky should be able to pull this one out, but the competition is at a much higher level than they’ve been accustomed (in post season play). The Eastern Carolina game two years ago would be the next closest comparison.

Here’s a breakdown of both teams….. I’m looking for a UK win 27-24.
