Fly on the Wa11

It’s almost a certainty that the team with the first NBA draft pick will gobble up John Wall. Evan Turner was a great player and won the Player of the Year, but John Wall is the most sought out player for the NBA and goes #1 is every mock draft I have seen. The three programs that will most likely have a shot at him, in order, are the New Jersey Nets, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Sacramento Kings. Wouldn’t it be great to be a fly on the wall and know what John Wall thinks about these options and which he would prefer?[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]With the Nets having the best chance at the first pick, it seems likely this is where he will land. The Net’s current roster contains a lot of familiar names including Courtney Lee (Western Kentucky), Brook Lopez (Stanford) and Terrence Williams (Louisville). If the selection goes to New Jersey, it will be most interesting to see the dynamic between Wall and Williams after the controversial autograph the former Cardinal added to a jersey that said “John Wall Sucks” that came out at the end of 2009.

Does the thought of going to the Nets and playing with Terrence make John Wall cringe? The Timberwolves would have the next best chance. Minnesota already sports Wayne Ellington (UNC) and Johnny Flynn (Syracuse) on their roster. Sacramento is the third (and smallest) possibility and recently John Calipari says that a John Wall and Tyreke Evans backcourt would be good for the for the Kings.

Where ever he lands he will bring success. It sure would be fun to know what he thought of these three franchises. The only thing we’ll likely ever know is how glad he is to be selected by _______ during his speech at the NBA Draft.
