[FONT=Arial]Now that we are officially in the “off” season (if there is such a thing for [/FONT][FONT=Arial]Kentucky[/FONT][FONT=Arial] basketball), I wanted to look back at my favorite [/FONT][FONT=Arial]UK[/FONT][FONT=Arial] team ever. This is hard for me because I’ve loved so many teams over the years, but as soon as another season starts, I fall in love all over again. [/FONT]
[FONT=Arial]I was able to narrow it down by two. The first team is our beloved Unforgettables. What was not to love about that team? My favorite player was Sean Woods and that was the first time I cried over sports. As a ten year old, I just couldn’t understand why something that awful would happen to that team. That team put [/FONT][FONT=Arial]Kentucky[/FONT][FONT=Arial] back on the map with a positive spin. [/FONT]
[FONT=Arial]The other team I’ll never forget is the Comeback Cats in 1998. This team would never give up, and that fighting spirit captured the hearts of the Big Blue Nation. Even though this was their third consecutive year in the National title game, this team made it feel like we had not been there in 20 years, because it was unfathomable that they could continue to comeback and win. [/FONT]
