Ex-Cats in the NFL

Today wasn’t near as exciting as last sunday, for former Kentucky lettermen. Last week, Alfonso Smith scored his first touchdown as a professional. He took over for an injured Beanie Wells after halftime. Also last week, Cory Peters picked off Matthew Stafford late in the 4th quarter to help seal a Falcon victory.

Here is a video of the one handed INT by Peters.

Today wasn’t a great day for former UK players. Randall Cobb, Tim Masthay and John Conner were on bye weeks, and came back to UK to watch them play Miss. State. Alfonso Smith was rumored all week by ESPN, to be the starter for the Cardinals against the Ravens. He only got one carry and picked up only one yard. Wesley Woodyard’s Broncos took a huge loss to Detroit, as he had 5 solo tackles and 9 total tackles. Stevie Johnson had 6 catches for 57 yards, while he was thrown to 10 times.
