ESPN Ranks SEC Coaching Performances, Joker Near Bottom

ESPN’s Chris Low has ranked the coaching performances of SEC football head coaches during the last season.

Low ranks Kentucky’s Joker Phillips at No. 8.

Here is an excerpt:
8. Joker Phillips, Kentucky: The frustrating thing for Phillips and the entire program is that the Wildcats weren’t able to pull out more close wins. They did have the big second-half comeback against South Carolina, but then lost three of their last four SEC games.
Phillips ranks higher than:

9. Robbie Caldwell, Vanderbilt
10. Mark Richt, Georgia
11. Urban Meyer, Florida
12. Houston Nutt, Ole Miss

Unfortunately, Phillips and Kentucky lost to three of the bottom four.

Low ranks Auburn’s Gene Chizik as the best performance, followed by Arkansas’ Bobby Petrino and South Carolina’s Steve Spurrier.
