Victoria Dunlap is now the second player in UK history to be named to the State Farm Coaches’ All-America team. This team only has ten members and is a very prestigious honor for Dunlap. State Farm and the Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Association announced the team on Saturday.

From a group of forty finalist, Dunlap was picked from a WBCA National Convention this weekend. Dunlap joins Valerie Still (1981-83) as the only UK Women’s player to earn All-American honors.
Dunlap definitely had a lot to do with me becoming a UK Hoops fan. I was always a supporter, but this year I really enjoyed and looked forward to game day. Victoria Dunlap reminds me of UK Footballs Wesley Woodyard. She’s someone that can do a lot for the program and it’s future (recruiting).
Here’s some of what ukathletics.com had to say about Dunlap’s recognition…
The Southeastern Conference Player of the Year by the AP and the league’s coaches led UK on both sides of the ball this season, averaging 18.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 1.9 blocks per game. She was the only player to rank among the SEC’s top three in scoring, rebounding and steals.
A standout defensive player, Dunlap is among the nation’s leaders in steals (15th), points per game (38th) and blocks (49th). She set new UK single-season records in blocks (66), blocks per game (1.90) and steals (107). Offensively, Dunlap led the Wildcats in scoring 19 times, posted nine double-doubles and scored 20 or more points 15 times, including a team-high 31 points vs. Oklahoma in the Elite Eight. She held UK chart the most wins in school history (28) and the SEC (11) and led the Cats to NCAA Regional Finals for the first time since 1982.
