The East Kentucky Drillers can’t find a way to win on the road, as they blow a lead late to the Johnstown Generals 41-37.
Former Kentucky standout David Jones had 1 interception and a touchdown but it wasn’t enough for the Drillers as they drop tpedo 4-5 on the season.

Johnstown, which fell to the Drillers 43-21 on April 9, reclaimed the lead with 9:58 left in the third quarter as Antoine Bagwell snagged a 20-yard pass from Woodley. Domonkos’ point-after kick raised the lead to 27-23.
Four plays later, the Generals’ secondary made waves when Deqwan Young picked off Allan Holland’s pass at the 1 and returned the pick 49 yards to push the advantage to 41-30.
It was one of three interceptions and five turnovers forced by the Generals.
The Drillers marched 30 yards in three plays to draw within 41-37 as Evans caught a 10-yard pass from Holland in the back of the end zone.
After a Domonkos miss on a 26-yard field goal try, the Drillers pushed the ball to the Generals’ 7-yard line before Holland scrambled and was separated from the football at the 2. Terrence Hudson recovered the loose ball and returned it to the 25. Staying on the ground, Johnstown scored in three plays with Sims’ powering in from 2 yards out.
Eastern Kentucky set the final with 46 seconds left when Evans, who also scored a touchdown in the first quarter, caught a 14-yard touchdown.
Eidson’s squib kick was collected by Young at the Johnstown 22, allowing the Generals to burn off the remaining time.
