Yesterday more proof was offered that Coach Cal is not leaving Kentucky. This time the proof comes from a conversation that Cal had with Dick Vitale. On ESPN Radio, Dicky V. said that he has spoke to Coach Cal within the last 48 hours and he told him that he was not going anywhere and reiterated that he has the best job that anyone could ask for. Vitale also stated that his personal belief was that a college coach in Calipari’s position has no reason to go to the league.

Today, college coaches are making a significant amount of money and don’t have to feel the same pressures that NBA coaches do. He used Mike Brown as the perfect example. Brown has led the Cavaliers to consecutive 60 win seasons and he will most likely be job searching and most likely taking an assistant position within the league. Why would anyone making the money that Calipari is making with the amenities and support that he has go anywhere to face that kind of pressure? They would be crazy too.
And Cal is not crazy. Thank you very much. Click for the ESPN Radio podcast.
