Detroit Pistons Targeting Brandon Knight

Since he decided last week that he would leave Kentucky, Brandon Knight now has to concentrate on getting ready for the upcoming NBA season.

That is if there is one.

Even if there isn’t a season, there is still a draft and one team is eyeing Brandon as a possible early draft pick if he is available.

The Detroit Pistons are in need of a guard and their president Joe Dumars has Knight high on his list.

With Pistons president Joe Dumars’ observation that Rodney Stuckey is a combo guard and can play off the point, the team would have interest in Kentucky point guard Brandon Knight.

But the 6-foot-3 freshman, who probably would have been available with a stronger lottery, is projected to go in the top five.

Yet it’s still early in the process, with next week’s predraft camp and individual workouts still to come, so there will be some shuffling among the top picks.
